We booked a Chianti Half Day Tour, which consisted of two wineries/tastings. Rosa was our guide and she was really funny. Each winery was a little different and I much preferred the first winery, Poggio Ai Laghi. Marco was the guide for this tasting, and he was very passionate about they quality. The wines were great and the offered salami, bread, extra Virgin olive oil, and truffle oil. We made a pit stop at a Castle of Monteriggioni which was an old medieval castle. The next winery showed their process for storing and aging wines, and also had some good tasting wines. One frustration was the lack of concern for time with other group members. Rosa, our guide, was trying very hard to keep us on time and asked that we be back from the castle in 30 mins (by 4:50), but some people strolled back around 5:00-5:05. Two girls were also 15 mins late to show up at the start, and we all had to wait on the bus. This may be common in group tours but its very inconsiderate, and if that bothers you, you may want to book a smaller group or private tour.
