A wonderful tour of the Chianti countryside and small towns with stupendous views of vineyards and , a lot of interesting information about the chianti region. A stop for eating the local delicacies at a small store was so musch fun (paid for own lunch of course). Francesco was our wonderful guide. It was way over my expectations.
We had such an amazing time on our Vespa Tuscany wine tour. So much fun! I decided to be a passenger with my husband driving since I had zero experience and we both enjoyed everything about it. Jimmy and Francesco were amazing guides and did everything possible to make us feel relaxed. Loved visiting Castellina...such a cute town, and lunch and tasting at Poggio Amorelli was also a fabulous experience. The views were incredible. We would both highly recommend this tour. Word of caution through...if you are hesitant about driving a Vespa, this may not be the experience for you. You would better off choosing to be a passenger and let them know that ahead of time so they can better pair you up. Jimmy really helped to build my husbands confidence. Thank you!!
This was my second Vespa tour with MyTour and it was as fantastic as the one I did last year. I called late in the day to try and set up a tour for the following morning and they were able to accommodate the 4 of us. The meeting spot in Florence was easy to find and within walking distance from our hotel. The bus ride to the starting point provided some pretty scenery. Signing in and doing our "test ride" on the Vespa's was a snap. The staff (Frederico and Lorenzo) were great and very fun and insightful. They were both very passionate about the sights and the area. We enjoyed a gorgeous ride to the first stop where we had about 40 minutes to walk around and take in the views, from there we headed to a winery (more gorgeous views) and learned about the process from growing the grapes to bottling while getting a tour of the facilities. Then we were served a delicious lunch while sampling several wines, prosecco, olive oil and balsamic vinegars. The winery host was very entertaining and explained each sample to us in detail. Once done there, we headed to another stop where we were able to walk around and take in more breathtaking views. So beautiful! Our trip back involved a few short bits of rain, but Frederico (in the lead in an adorable old Fiat) and Lorenzo (behind us on a Vespa keeping a watchful eye on us and providing a blockade at the few areas where there were stop signs or required merging) slowed the pace a little to ensure a safe ride. Was a great day and one of my favorites of our 2-week trip. Big shout out to Frederico and Lorenzo for helping out our "first-timer" on her Vespa. She made it to the last stop but wasn't comfortable with riding in the rain, so she rode in the Fiat with Frederico for the ride back. Thanks again guys!
