E-BIKE along the Sagittarius Gorges

We can call it an E-bike tour of the most beautiful medieval villages of Italy, we can also call it a tour through the history of Italy, but certainly it will be the tour through the beauties of Italy. A route that follows breathtaking landscapes, heritage villages and an important historical places, from the Romans to the Middle Ages. We will visit the first capital of Italy of over 2000 years ago, where for the first time LIRA was forged! Excursion from the city of Ovid will take us along the valley of the River Sagittarius to discover the beauty of the Peligna basin up to Anversa degli Abruzzi and then the village of the serpari. The valley crossed by the Sagittario river that extends from the municipality of Villalago to Cocullo, in the province of L'Aquila, is home to one of the most important naturalistic areas in Europe, the Gole del Sagittario. It is a spectacular and suggestive canyon dug by the erosion of the impetuous waters of the river, which over thousands of years has given birth to a naturalistic wonder that has become a WWF Oasis. We are on the edge of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. The area extends for about 400 hectares, a real treasure chest of nature just over an hour from Rome. A deep canyon between calcareous cliffs dug by the river Sagittario, also offers shelter to the bear threatened by the fragmentation of the woods.
