Admire the magnificent Amalfi coast on board our vehicles. Enjoy free time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.

Visiting Italy means coming into contact with Italian coastal towns like Sorrento. Sorrento is just one of the main towns on the peninsula of the same name located in southern Italy. It is no coincidence that it is called the Sorrento Peninsula. Sorrento is famous for its unique location. It is close to the most famous islands in Campania. From Sorrento, you can discover all the small villages on the peninsula, one of which is Amalfi, from which the area derives its name!

Amalfi Coast: more than just a scenic route

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most famous destinations, people come from all over the world to discover this fantastic scenery. But wait... does the Amalfi Coast only include one location? No, of course not! The Amalfi Coast encompasses more than one place. It is the area between the two opposite sides of the Sorrento Peninsula. The easiest way to get around is by bus or minivan, to enjoy the spectacle. The extraordinary route that connects the northern coast of the peninsula to the southern one is really winding. Doing it by bus or minivan is the best choice because you can also stop along the way to take amazing photos and admire this unique scenery.

That is why this tour is perfect to fully enjoy what this area has to offer.

The Amalfi Coast is not only a natural area but also a historical site to be discovered. The best way to learn all about the origin of this part of Italy is to let yourself be guided through these unknown places. On this tour, an experienced driver will take you from Sorrento to Ravello along Italy's most famous scenic route.

The route along the Amalfi Coast is about 40 km long, between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno, where 16 small sites can be found and where extraordinary natural scenery can be seen. Because of its special location and views, it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

By taking this tour, you will have the opportunity to pass through some of the towns on the Amalfi Coast such as Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini. But you will also have the unique opportunity to spend some free time in 3 of the main towns on the Sorrento Peninsula.

From Sorrento to Positano

You will be picked up at the meeting point in Sorrento and begin your journey by minivan. Your first stop will be Positano. From Sorrento to Positano it takes an hour to discover this wonderful 'city of waterfalls'. Positano is famous for its particular structure and views. It was built on several levels and its viewpoints are worth the climb. The weather in Positano is remarkable because it is usually very sunny, allowing you to have an unforgettable view from the top of the town. Here you will have almost an hour of free time. Spend your free time in the upper part of town, enjoying the beauty of the main square and enjoying real Italian coffee in one of the many cafés you will find in the town centre.

From Positano to Amalfi

After enjoying all these things, you will be ready for the next stage. Your journey continues from Positano to Amalfi, and it is time to pass through some of the small villages on the Amalfi coast. You will have to pass through Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini to reach the larger and more famous Amalfi. Once you reach Amalfi, you will spend your free time, about two hours, walking along the typical narrow streets. Along these streets, you can discover many beautiful places overlooking the sea. You will have time to visit the town on your own and admire the town where handmade paper production originated. One of the places to see here is the main square. That square is dominated by the 9th century Cathedral. Don't miss the chance to taste typical Amalfi products or buy souvenirs!

From Amalfi to Ravello

Ravello will be the last but not least important stop of the trip. Ravello is the pearl of the Amalfi coast because it is not a sea-level post, but you have to climb a bit to reach it. You will take the Amalfi coast road that leaves the sea to climb up the rocks where the historic centre of Ravello is located. From Amalfi, it takes about 30 minutes, where you can see one of the symbols of the Amalfi Coast, the lemons.

In Ravello, you will have an hour to discover the town. Find the best photo set in Ravello called Belvedere, to take the best photo ever taken. From Ravello you will enjoy the view of the entire Gulf of Amalfi. After visiting Ravello, the journey will end. All along the Amalfi Coast, you will return to Sorrento in less than two hours.

A place where nature meets food

The Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not only because of its natural scenery or panoramic views, but also because of Amalfi's basket of products. You could say that the lemon is Amalfi's special product. In Amalfi you can enjoy your free time drinking some limoncello, the traditional handmade liqueur made with Amalfi and Sorrento lemons, or eating the most famous dessert in southern Italy, the Delizia a Limone. Or admire the lemon trail along the Amalfi coast road or smell the lemon scents in Amalfi's shops.

Have we enticed you to join our tour? Courage, the Amalfi Coast is waiting for you!
